Bringing geometry to life... with marshmallows and spaghetti!

Posted on: 1st Jul 2023

In summer term, our maths lessons have been looking at the topic of Shape, Space and Measures... aka Geometry. The students looked at 2D and 3D shapes and angles.

They learned about bearings, finding perimeters and areas, and calculating volumes and capacities. And the highlight was putting the theory into practice building structures out of some familiar kitchen cupboard items: marshmallows, jelly sweets and spaghetti! Well done to our maths students on completing their tasty work!
